About Adventure Mountain

Adventure Mountain is the vision of lifelong outdoor adventurer Jeff Greiner, whose family has been shaping the outdoor recreation industry for over 50 years. Jeff grew up on the Chattooga River, where his parents founded Wildwater, Ltd.—the first whitewater rafting company in the Southeast. What started as a family passion became one of the most respected professional outfitters in the country.

Carrying on that legacy, Jeff has spent his career helping others experience the wonder of the outdoors in a safety oriented and responsible way. He’s led Wildwater’s growth to include multiple zipline and canopy tour locations and served for more than a decade on the national Board of Directors for the America Outdoors Association, setting national standards for guide training and environmental protection.

In 2011, Jeff brought that same spirit to Asheville, founding the Adventure Center of Asheville to make outdoor adventure accessible to families and thrill-seekers alike. Adventure Mountain is the next step in that journey—a chance to blend technical off-road challenges with mountain education and breathtaking natural beauty.

When he’s not on the trails, Jeff enjoys hiking, paddling, camping, and exploring the mountains around Asheville with his wife, Sheena, and their three kids.

Born in Texas, Chad grew up in the mountains of North Carolina hiking, camping, fly fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors.  Chad attended Southwestern Community College and received a degree in Outdoor Leadership.  Chad worked at Wildwater Ltd., at their Nantahala River location as a raft/zipline/jeep guide, then became a Manager of their Zipline Tours. 

Currently, Chad is the General Manager of Adventure Mountain Resort, the second location of the Adventure Center, which currently offers Offroad Vehicle Tours to our guests!  

Living in Barnardsville, Chad still loves the outdoors and exploring it with his dog Jax.
